Abstract

The taxon Trifolium alexandrinum var. serotinum was collected from Osmaniye province in southern Türkiye and its existence is reported for the first time in this paper. The species Trifolium alexandrinum to which this variety belongs has a narrow and scattered distribution and is known from Ankara, Istanbul, Izmir, Konya, Mersin and Şanlıurfa. The characteristics of var. serotinum are indicated in detail, the points where it differs from the main variety are shown on a key, and the distribution of the species is displayed on a map. In addition, a new scientific Turkish name specific to this taxon has been assigned.
