Laktik Asit Bakterilerinin Antibiyotik Direnç Mekanizmaları

Öz
Penisilin’in keşfi ile yaklaşık olarak seksen yıldır kullanılan antibiyotikler birçok hastalığa karşı vazgeçilmez savunma mekanizması haline gelmişlerdir. Antibiyotikler hücre duvarı sentezini durdurmak, hücre zarının işlevini bozmak ya da protein sentezini engellemek gibi etkilerle hedef bakteriyi inhibe ederler. Hızla artan aşırı ve bilinçsiz antibiyotik kullanımı bakterilerin antibiyotiklere karşı direnç geliştirmelerine sebep olmuştur. Sonradan kazanılan bu direnç genleri bakteriler arasında taşınabilmektedir. Bu derlemede laktik asit bakterilerinin direnç profilleri ve gen aktarımlarıyla ilgili çalışmalar irdelenmiştir
