Effects of Anesthetic Technique on Arteriovenous Fistula Patency

Abstract

OBJECTIVE: The aim of this study was to investigate the effect of local anesthesia and axillary anesthesia to AVF patency. METHODS: AVF opened 38 patients were examined in our clinic at the last one year, retrospectively. After the operation, pulsation, and thrill were0 evaluated as a successful outcome.RESULTS: 24 Patients were operated with local anesthesia, and 14 were axillary anesthesia. 3 patients were needed revision because of insufficient flow in the first three weeks follow up. One of these patients is in axillary anesthesia group, the others were in local anesthesia group. CONCLUSION: As a result, there wasn’t a different arteriovenous fistula success rates depending on the technique of anesthesia.

Anestezi Tekniğinin Arteriyovenöz Fistül Açıklığına Etkileri

Abstract

AMAÇ: Bu çalışmanın amacı lokal anestezi ve aksiller anestezi uygulamasının arteriyovenöz fistül açıklığına etkisinin araştırılmasıdır. YÖNTEMLER: Kliniğimizde son bir yılda AVF açılmış 38 hasta retrospektif olarak değerlendirildi. Operasyon sonrası pulsasyon ve thril alınması başarılı sonuç olarak değerlendirildi.BULGULAR: Hastalardan 24’ü lokal anestezi ile, 14’ü aksiler anestezi ile opere edildi. 3 hastaya ilk üç haftalık takiplerde AVF’ de diyaliz için yeterli akım oluşmadığından revizyon gerekti. Bunlardan biri lokal anestezi grubunda, diğer ikisi aksiller anestezi grubundaydı.SONUÇ: Sonuç olarak anestezi tekniğine bağlı arteiyovenöz fistül başarı oranlarının farklı olmadığı görüldü.
