Chronic Eosinophilic Pneumonia: Two case reports

Öz

Chronic Eosinophilic Pneumonia CEP , a rare idiopathic interstitial pneumonia of unknown etiology, is characterized by infiltration of eosinophils and lymphocytes in both the alveoli and interstitum with a thickening of the alveolar wall. Patients with CEP occasionally have a history of asthma or other atopic diseases, but neither is necessary for the diagnosis. Corticosteroids are the first-line treatment for most patients, but there are little data about the appropriate dose and the duration of therapy to offer guidance. The disease frequently recurs after corticosteroid therapy is discontinued. Herein we report the progress of 2 female patients with CEP manifesting with asthma under the light of the pertinent literature.

Kronik Eozinofilik Pnömoni: iki olgu sunumu

Öz

Kronik Eozinofilik Pnömoni KEP , etyolojisi bilinmeyen nadir bir interstisyel pnömoni olup, alveoler duvarında kalınlaşma ile alveoller ve interstitumun her ikisinde eozinofil ve lenfositlerin infiltrasyonu ile karakterizedir. KEP olan hastalarda bazen astım veya diğer atopik hastalık öyküsü vardır, ama tanı için gerekli değildir. Kortikosteroidler çoğu hasta için ilk basamak tedavidir, ama uygun doz ve tedavi süresi hakkında klavuz önermek için çok az bilgi vardır. Hastalık sıklıkla kortikosteroid tedavisi kesildikten sonra nükseder. Burada, astımla başvuran KEP’li 2 kadın hastanın takibi ilgili literatür ışığında rapor edilmiştir.
