The judicial system of the Russian Federation is established by the Constitution of the Russian Federation and the Federal Constitutional Law On
the Judicial System of the Russian Federation. Currently, Russia’s judicial
system is composed of the Constitutional Court of the Russian Federation,
the Supreme Court of the Russian Federation, federal courts of general
jurisdiction, constitutional (charter) courts and justices of the peace of
constituent entities of the Russian Federation. In this sence, like its adminstrative structure, the judicial system of the Russian Federation has its own
characteristics. The aim of the paper is to inform about the structure and
functioning of the system and to provide a source for academic studies on
the Russian Federation.

Rusya Federasyonu’nun yargı sistemi, temel olarak Rusya Federasyonu
Anayasası’nda ve Rusya Federasyonu Yargı Sistemi Hakkında Federal Anayasal Kanun’da düzenlenmiştir. Günümüzde, Rusya Federasyonu yargı sistemi,
Anayasa Mahkemesi, Yüksek Mahkeme, genel yetkili federal mahkemeler,
federe birimler anayasa (kurucu belge) mahkemeleri ve federe birimlerin
sulh mahkemelerinden oluşmaktadır. Bu anlamda, Rusya Federasyonu yargı
sistemi kendine özgü özellikler taşımaktadır. Çalışmanın amacı, sistemin
yapısı ve işleyişi hakkında bilgilendirme ve Rusya Federasyonu yargısına
ilişkin yapılacak akademik çalışmalara kaynak sunmaktır.
