Sergi Plumbago europaea , doğ al boyalar içinde, boya bitkisi olarak önemli bir yere sahiptir. Boyac ı l ı kta genellikle sergi! Piumbago europaea in tamam ı kök, gövde, yaprak, çiçek kullan ı l ı r. Bu çal ışmada sergilden elde edilen renkler ve bu renklerin yün hali iplikleri üzerindeki ışı k ve sürtünme hasl ı klar ı araşt ı r ı lm ışt ı r. Sergil ile herhangi bir renk tespit etmek için boyamada kullan ı lacak en ideal boyama yöntemi, hasl ı k değeri, en ideal mordan, uygun mordan oran ı , bitki oran ı ve boyama yöntemi belirlenmesine çal ışı lm ışt ı r. Araşt ı rmada yün hali ipliklerinin boyanmas ı nda yüne göre % 100 oran ı nda sergil bitkisi ve % 3 oran ı nda asit miktarı sabit tutulmuştur. Buna göre A yönteminde yün hali iplikleri önce asitle i şlem görmüş, sonra mordanlanm ış ve ard ı ndan boyanmış , B yönteminde yün hal ı iplikleri önce mordanlanm ış , asit boyama işlemi s ı rası nda floteye ilave edilmiş , C yönteminde asit ve mordan boyama işlemi s ı ras ı nda floteye birlikte ilave edilmiştir. Araşt ı rmada toplam 90 adet boyama yap ı lm ışt ı r. Boyamalardan elde edilen renkler kuru kay ı s ı renginden yeşil kahveye hatta k ı z ı l kahverengiye kadar de ğişiklik göstermektedir. Bu renklerin ışı k hasl ı kları 1 ile 6, sürtünme hasl ı klar ı ise 1 ile 4-5 aras ı nda değ işmektedir.
Leadwort plant Plumbago europaea has a signifı cant place in natural dyes. During dyeing process generally whole leadwort root, stern, leaves, flowers plant is used. This research was conducted to obtain different colours from this plant and to study the process of fastnesses to light and to abrasion on wool carpet yarns of these colours. By using some techniques on the leadwort plant the most ideal dyeing method, the fastness value, the mordant, the most appropriate mordant ratio and plant ratio were determined. In this research, amount of leadwort plant at the ratio 100 % and acid at the ratio 3 % according to wool were fı xed. By using method A, wool carpet yarns were treated firstly with acid and then were treated together with mordant, at the and were dyed. By using method B, wool carpet yarns were treated with mordant firstly, acid was added to flotte during dyeing, in the method C acid and mordant were added together to flotte during dyeing. In this research, totaly 90 dyeing process were performed. The colours of the leadwort plant were labeled and type of these colours varied from dark yellow to dark green even to brown. On the other hand, the colour fastnesses to light and to abrasion on wool carpet yarns of this plant were studied. The colour fastness to light of this plant were found as 1 to 6, to abrasion 1 to 4-5.
