Journal of Agricultural Sciences - Tarım Bilimleri Dergisi (JAS) is an international, double-blind, peer-reviewed, open access journal. JAS is published four times a year in March, June, September and December by the Faculty of Agriculture, Ankara University since 1995.
The Journal of Agricultural Sciences aims to publish original and review articles providing new insight into any aspect of agricultural sciences. All articles should demonstrate a high level of novelty, originality, uniquity and widespread impact. The journal publishes research articles and reviews in the field of agricultural sciences.
The publication language of the Journal is English.
JAS is indexed in the Science Citation Index Expanded (SCIE) since 2007 and Scopus since 2009. The Journal of Agricultural Sciences is abstracted and/or indexed in the following databases: TR Dizin, CAB Abstracts, EBSCOHost, FAO-AGRIS, Base, IFIS-Food Sciences and Technology Abstracts, SOBIAD, OpernAire, Academindex, Acar Index.

JAS is published quarterly since 1995. The issues are published in March, June, September, and December.
Special issues and their scope are announced one year before the publication by the Editorial Board.
The publication language of the Journal of Agricultural Sciences is English. Manuscripts can be submitted in English only. The submitted manuscript should comply with the grammar and spelling rules, and the relevant scientific literature.

JAS is an open access journal. All articles are published under the terms of the Creative Commons Attribution License (CC BY) which permits unrestricted use, distribution, and reproduction in any medium or format, provided the original work is properly cited. Authors retain copyright of their published article. By this means open access ensures more reuse and citation, higher visibility and discoverability, greater engagement, immediate impact, increased interdisciplinary work and wider collaboration.
JAS adopts the Open Access Declaration published by Budapest Open Access Initiative in Feb, 2002.
“By ‘open access’ to this [research] literature, we mean its free availability on the public internet, permitting any users to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full texts of these articles, crawl them for indexing, pass them as data to software, or use them for any other lawful purpose, without financial, legal, or technical barriers other than those inseparable from gaining access to the internet itself. The only constraint on reproduction and distribution and the only role for copyright in this domain should be to give authors control over the integrity of their work and the right to be properly acknowledged and cited.”
The manuscripts submitted to JAS should be original that has not been published and not under review by any other publication. Publisher guarantees not to charge any reader or library a subscription fee and a fee for access to published electronic articles. JAS is funded by the University of Ankara, The Faculty of Agriculture depending on the revolving funds. Financial resources gained through sponsorship are utilized for publishing and editorial processes only.
