Ön Lisans ve Lisans Düzeyinde Muhasebe Eğitimi Alan Öğrencilerin Başarılarına Etki Eden Faktörler: Atatürk Üniversitesi Açık Öğretim Fakültesi Üzerine Bir Araştırma /Factors Affecting the Success of the Two Year Degree and Bachelor Degree Students Taking

Öz

: Bu çalışmada; Atatürk Üniversitesi Açık Öğretim Fakültesi ön lisans ve lisans öğrencilerinin Genel Muhasebe dersi başarılarına ve Genel Not Ortalamalarına etki eden faktörler araştırılmıştır. Çalışmada Açık Öğretim Fakültesine kuruluşundan bu yana kayıt yaptıran 158.927 öğrenciden genel muhasebe dersi alan 15.424 öğrenciye ait veriler nitel iki değişken arasında istatistiksel olarak anlamlı bir ilişki olup olmadığını ortaya koyan Ki-Kare testi kullanılarak analiz edilmiştir. Analiz sonuçlarına göre cinsiyet ve kuşak faktörlerinin etkili oldukları gözlemlenmiştir. Ön Lisans öğrencileri Lisans öğrencilerine nispeten daha başarılı, ticaret meslek lisesi mezunları diğer lise mezunlarına göre ise daha başarısızdırlar. İkinci üniversite kapsamında öğrenim gören İİBF mezunu/öğrencisi olan öğrenciler diğer fakülte mezunu/öğrencilerine göre daha başarılıdırlar.

Abstract: In this study, factors that affect the Financial Accounting course success and Grade Point Avarage of two year degree and bachelor degree students at the Open Education Faculty, Atatürk University are analyzed. Data was collected from 158.927 students who have registered since the establishment of the Open Education Faculty, among those students 15.424 students who have taken financial accounting course were selected and chi-square which reveals the relationship between two qualitative variables was applied. According to the results it was observed that the gender and generation are effective factors. Two year degree students are more successful than bachelor degree students and vocational high school graduated are less successful than the other high school graduates. FEAS graduates/students who are studying in the context of second university are more prospering than the other faculty graduates/students.
