A Research With Rokeach Scale : Gareer-Relevant Motivations and Value Systems of Freshmen Medical Students

Abstract

In this article, the motivations to the medical profession and value systems of freshmen medical students in the med. faculty of An- kara University are studied in a population of 272. A. special guestionary and Rokeach values' scales are used in this respect. In highiy motivated group, idealistic and althruistic values were , predominant. Egocentric and pragmatic values were more cumulated in poorly motivated group. Also, the important role of the ethic study in the moral education is emphasized.

ROKEACH SKALASI İLE BİR ÇALIŞMA : TIP ÖĞRENCİLERİNİN MESLEĞE YÖNELİMLERİ VE DEĞER SİSTEMLERİ

Abstract

Bu çalışmayla, tip fakültesi birinci sınıf öğrencilerinin mesleğe yönelik psikolojik motivasyonları ile değer sistemlerini tanımak, aralarındaki ilişkiyi belirlemek amaçlanmıştır. 272 kişilik bir popülasyonda, bir anket formu ile Rokeach amaç ve araç değer çizgileri uygulanmıştır, Mesleğe yönelmede cinsiyetin önemli rol oynamadığı, hekimğe büyük psikolojik yatırım yapmış olan öğrencilerin idealist ve. özgecil tutumlara, ötekilerin ise pragmatik değerlere sahip olduğu belirlenmiştir,
