Regmatojen Retina Dekolmanında Pars Plana Vitrektomi Sonunda Uygulanan Kısa Etkili ve Uzun Etkili Gazların Karşılaştırılması

Öz

Amaç: Regmatojen retina dekolmanı (RRD) için uygulanan primer pars plana vitrektomi (PPV) cerrahisinde kullanılan kısa ve uzun etkili gazların sonuçlarının karşılaştırılması. Gereç ve Yöntem: 2019-2021 Mayıs arasında RRD nedeniyle PPV uygulanmış hastaların dosyaları geriye yönelik olarak tarandı. SF6 kullanılan hastalar grup 1, C3F8 kullanılan hastalar grup 2 olarak kabul edildi. İki grup fonksiyonel ve anatomik başarı, peroperatif ve postoperatif komplikasyon gelişimi, nüks retina dekolmanı gelişimi açısından karşılaştırıldı. Bulgular: Tamponad olarak 14 hastada (%37,8) SF6, 23 hastada (%62,2) C3F8 kullanılmış idi. İki grup arasında yaş, cinsiyet, lens durumu, şikayet süresi, cerrahi öncesi EİDGK, GİB, maküla tutulumu açısından fark yoktu. Üçüncü ay retinal yatışıklık oranı grup 1’de %92,9, grup 2’de %95,7 idi (p=0,865). Rekürren vakalarda dekolman tespit süresi, grup 1’de 37,7±24,6, grup 2’de 38,1±19,6 idi (p=0,972). Birinci haftada grup1’de EİDGK 0,044±0,070, grup 2’de 0,004± 0,003 idi (p=0,009). Birinci ayda EİDGK 1. Grupta 0,232±0,138, 2.grupta 0,111±0,096 idi (p=0,007). Üçüncü ayda EİDGK 1.grupta 0,350±0,128 2.grupta 0,329±0,214 idi (p=0,459). Sonuç: Regmatojen retina dekolmanı tedavisi için PPV yapılan hastalarda tamponad olarak hem kısa hem de uzun etkili gazların kullanımı ile yüksek başarı elde edilir. Hızlı görsel rehabilitasyon istenilen hastalarda kısa etkili gazlar tercih edilebilir.

Comparison of Short-Acting and Long-Acting Gases Applied after Pars Plana Vitrectomy in Regmatogen Retinal Detachment

Öz

Aim: Comparison of the results of short-acting and long-acting gases used in primary pars plana vitrectomy surgery (PPV) for rhegmatogenous retinal detachment (RRD). Materials and Methods: The files of patients who underwent PPV for RRD between May 2019-2021 were retrospectively scanned. Patients using SF6 were considered group 1, patients using C3F8 were considered group 2. The two groups were compared in terms of functional and anatomical success, development of perioperative and postoperative complications, and development of recurrent retinal detachment. Results: SF6 was used as tamponade in 14 patients (37.8%), and C3F8 was used in 23 patients (62.2%). There was no difference between the two groups in terms of age, gender, lens status, duration of complaints, preoperative BCVA, IOP, and macular involvement. The third month retinal attachment rate was 92.9% in group 1 and 95.7% in group 2 (p=0.865). The mean BCVA was 0.044±0.070 and 0.004±0.003 (p=0.009) at first week, 0.232±0.138 and 0.111±0.096 (p=0.007) at 1st month, 0.350±0.128 and 0.329±0.214 (p=0.459) at 3rd month (respectively in Group 1 and 2). Conclusion: In RRD patients undergoing PPV, a high rate of success is achieved with the use of both short and long-acting gases as tamponade. The short-acting gases preferred when needed rapid visual rehabilitation.
