Neuman Sistemler Modeline Göre Cinsel Kimlik Bozukluğu Olan Hastanın Bakımı: Olgu Sunumu

Abstract

Cinsel kimlik bozukluğu kapsamı içinde kullanılan transseksüel terimi; kendilerine atanan cinsiyetle uyuşmayan başka bir cinsiyet kimliğine sahip bireyleri tanımlamak için kullanılan bir şemsiye terimdir. Kısaca trans olarak tanımlanan bireylerin bakımında ve cinsiyet farklılıklarında hemşirelerin önemli sorumlulukları bulunmaktadır. Çünkü hemşireler, sağlığı geliştirmek ve hastalıkları önlemek için faaliyetler yürütmenin yanı sıra, ayaktan tedavi ve hastane hizmetlerinde genellikle ilk karşılaşmadan son görüşmeye kadar önemli bir referanstır. İnsanların cinsel çeşitliliğine, cinsiyetine ve diğer özelliklerine saygı göstererek bakım sunan hemşireler, trans bireylerin sağlık hizmetine kolaylıkla erişimini de sağlamaktadır. Hemşirelikte bakım modeli kullanımı, insanı tüm boyutlarıyla ele almayı ve tanımayı, insanda problem yaratan durumların anlaşılmasını/ortaya çıkartılmasını, hemşirelik hizmetinin belli bir mantıkla ve sistemli bir şekilde sunulmasını, mesleki bakış açısının ve mesleki iletişimin geliştirilmesini sağlamaktadır. Bakım modellerinden birisi olan Neuman Sistemler Modeli, bireylerin iyilik haline veya sağlığına zarar veren stresörler üzerine odaklanan bütüncül perspektifi olan hemşirelik modelidir. Neuman’ın modeli, stresi azaltıcı/giderici özel hemşirelik girişimleri ile bireylerin sağlık yönünden güçlendirilmesine yardımcı olmaktadır. Dolayısıyla, hemşirelerin hedefi hasta/sağlıklı kişiler için en uygun sağlık düzeyini sağlamak ya da sağlığın korunmasına yönelik, birincil, ikincil veya üçüncül önleme müdahalelerinin kullanımı yoluyla streslerini azaltmaktır. Bu çalışma, 32 yaşında cinsel kimlik bozukluğu olan bir kadın hastanın bakımında Neuman Sistemler Modeli’nin kullanımına örnek olarak yapılmıştır.

Care of a Patient with Gender Identity Disorder According to the Neuman Systems Model: Case Report

Abstract

The term transsexual used within the scope of gender identity disorder; is an umbrella term used to describe individuals with another gender identity that does not match the gender assigned to them. In short, nurses have important responsibilities in the care of individuals defined as trans and in gender differences. Because nurses are often an important reference in outpatient and hospital services, from the first meeting to the last meeting, as well as conducting activities to promote health and prevent diseases. Nurses, who provide care by respecting the sexual diversity, gender and other characteristics of people, also ensure that transgender people have easy access to health services. The use of nursing care model provides to handle and recognize people in all dimensions, to understand / reveal the situations that cause problems in humans, to provide nursing service with a certain logic and systematically, and to develop professional perspective and professional communication. Neuman Systems Model, one of the care models, is a nursing model with a holistic perspective that focuses on stressors that harm individuals' well-being or health. Neuman's model helps individuals to be empowered in terms of health with special nursing interventions to reduce / relieve stress. Therefore, the goal of nurses is to provide optimal health for sick / healthy people or to reduce their stress through the use of primary, secondary or tertiary prevention interventions for health protection. This study was made as an example of the use of the Neuman Systems Model in the care of a 32-year-old female patient with gender identity disorder.
