Some color variations of Cercopis distincta (Melichar, 1896) and a recent contribution to the asset of Hatay Cercopids: Triecphorella geniculata (Horváth, 1881)

Abstract

In this study, Cercopidae Leach, 1815 (Hemiptera: Auchenorrhyncha: Cicadomorpha) specimens obtained from field studies on Musa Mountain (Samandağ/HATAY) between April and September 2022 were evaluated. As a result of the identification of the collected specimens, three species belonging to two genera were identified. Some variation types seen in Cercopis distincta (Melichar, 1896), one of the detected species, were recorded. With this research, Triecphorella geniculata (Horváth, 1881) was recorded for the first time in Hatay province. Detailed photographs of the habitus and genitalia parts of this species are provided. Considering the available data of all identified species, current distribution maps were created and brief evaluations were made about the dispersal patterns of these species.

Cercopis distincta (Melichar, 1896)'nın bazı renk varyasyonları ve Hatay'ın Cercopid varlığına yeni bir katkı: Triecphorella geniculata (Horváth, 1881)

Abstract

Bu çalışmada 2022 yılının Nisan–Eylül ayları arasında Musa Dağı'na yapılan arazi çalışmalarından (Samandağ/HATAY) elde edilen Cercopidae Leach, 1815 (Hemiptera: Auchenorrhyncha: Cicadomorpha) örnekleri değerlendirilmiştir. Toplanan örneklerin teşhisi sonucu iki cinse ait üç tür tespit edilmiştir. Tespit edilen türlerden Cercopis distincta (Melichar, 1896)'da görülen bazı varyasyon tipleri kayıt altına alınmıştır. Bu araştırma ile Triecphorella geniculata (Horváth, 1881) Hatay ili için ilk kez kaydedilmiştir. Bu türün habitus ve genitalia parçalarına ait detaylı fotoğraflar sağlanmıştır. Tespit edilen tüm türlerin mevcut verileri dikkate alınarak güncel yayılış haritaları oluşturulmuş ve buna göre bu türlerin dağılış desenleri ile ilgili kısa değerlendirilmeler yapılmıştır.
