Building Information Modeling (BIM) is one of the most popular research topics not only in computer science but in multidisciplinary studies. In this study, an integration of wireless sensor networks (WSN) and BIM is established. The most crucial challenge in this integration is to manage the sensor data streams and manage such pervasive environment that includes heterogeneous wireless sensor devices. Since the environment (such as smart building or smart city) covers heterogeneous wireless sensor devices for various physical measures, each sensor has its own sensor data stream and data structure. Existing studies in this field bring many dependency and can be adapted to a single application. However, such systems should be more generic and address to multidisciplinary research areas. Here, a BIM based real time smart environment management system is proposed. 3D model of the building is achieved in early stages. A BIM based platform is established and it provides a common workspace for all partners of the studies.
