On the Distribution and Host-Plant of Aristotelia subericinella (Duponchel, 1843) (Lepidoptera: Gelechiidae)

Abstract

Aristotelia subericinella, previously known from Ankara, Kahramanmaraş, Siirt, Van, Amasya and Bursa, is recorded for the first time in Bitlis province. Astragalus sp. (Leguminosae) is suggested as new larval host-plant of the species. Pupa, adult, female genitalia and habitat pictures are illustrated. Information on the distribution of the species is mentioned.
