Öz

Özet

Valsalva retinopatisi sağlıklı bireylerde valsalva manevrasına bağlı gelişen; retina kapillerinde rüptüre bağlı ani ve ağrısız görme kaybına yol açabilmektedir. Genelikle tek taraflı olmakla birlikte bilateral tutulum olabilmektedir ve prognozu iyidir. Bu çalışmada şiddetli öksürüğe bağlı gelişen ve valsalva retinopatisi olarak değerlendirilen bir olgunun klinik bulguları sunulmuştur.

Abstract

Valsalva retinopathy induced by Valsalva maneuver in healthy individuals, may lead to sudden and painless loss of vision due to rupture in retinal capillaries. Although it is usually unilateral, it may be bilateral and its prognosis is good. In this study, clinical findings of a case evaluated as valsalva retinopathy, due to severe cough, were presented.
