Tolarance as a Princible in the Prophet’s Education Activity

Abstract

The notion of tolerance is one of the values which is gradually gaining more important place in the world agenda. In order to make tolerance common in a society it is important to regard it as a principle in education and to train new generations in accordance with this principle. The acts the Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) performed in his time as his mission prompted and his sayings carry important messages, which should be taken into account in today’s education. This study aims to show messages of tolerance which emerge in the sayings and acts of the Prophet as an educator.

HZ. PEYGAMBER'İN EĞİTİMİNDE BİR İLKE OLARAK HOŞGÖRÜ

Öz

Hoşgörü, çağımızın giderek yükselen değerlerinden biridir. Hoşgörü anlayışını toplumda yaygınlaştırmak için, onu eğitimde temel bir ilke olarak benimsemek ve yeni yetişen nesli bu ilke doğrultusunda eğitmek gerekir. Hz. Peygamber'in, üstlendiği misyon gereği, yaşadığı dönemde gerçekleştirdiği faaliyetler ve söylediği sözler, O'nun eğitim anlayışına ışık tutacak önemli mesajlar içermektedir. İşte bu çalışma, bir eğitimci olarak Hz. Peygamber'in söz ve davranışlarıyla sergilediği hoşgörü mesajlarını güncelleştirmeyi amaçlamaktadır.
