Esansiyel Bir Komponent: Bor -Borun Günlük Alımı ve Fizyolojik Etkileri

Abstract

Bor, insan ve hayvanlar için diyetle alınabilen esansiyel bir komponenttir. İnsanlar günde en az 1 mg B/gün bor almaları gerekmektedir.
Yetişkinler tarafından alınabilecek üst sınır 20 mg B/gün olarak belirlenmiştir. İnsanlar bora normal koşullar altında, bor açısından en zengin
gıdalar olan yeşil yapraklı sebze ve meyveler, fındık ceviz gibi sert kabuklu yemişler, baklagiller, avokado ve mantarları yiyerek maruz
kalmaktadırlar. Borun akut ve kronik toksisitesinin olmasına rağmen, oksidatif stres, mikrobesin metabolizması, steroid hormon metabolizması,
romatoid artrit ve beyin fonksiyonları üzerinde önemli etkileri bulunmaktadır. Bor insan diyeti için önemli bir komponenttir.

Abstract

Boron is an essential component in the diet of human beings and animals. People need at least 1 mg B/day intake. The upper limit that can be taken by adults is 20 mg B/day. Under normal conditions, people are exposed to eating foods rich in boron, that is, green leafy vegetables and fruits, nuts, like walnuts, legumes, avocados, and mushrooms. In spite of acute and chronic toxicity of boron, there are important effects of boron on oxidative stress, micronutrient metabolism, steroid hormone metabolism, rheumatoid arthritis, and brain functions.
