Entomopatojen nematodlar ve simbiyotik bakterileri

Abstract
Entomopatojen nematodlar (Heterorhabditidae ve Steinernematidae) zararlı böceklerin biyolojik mücadelesinde yaygın olarak kullanılmaktadırlar. Bu nematodlar, simbiyotik bakterilerle olan mutualistik ilişkileri ile karakterize edilmektedirler. Bakteriyel simbiyontlar, Heterorhabditidae infektiv juvenillerinin tüm sindirim kanalları boyunca, Steinernematidae’de ise infektif juvenillerdeki özel bir kese içerisinde taşınmaktadırlar. Nematodlar bakteriyel simbiyontları için koruma ve taşınma olanağı sağlamaktadırlar. Simbiyontlar ise sırasıyla konukçu böceği öldürmek, nematodların üremesi için uygun koşulları oluşturmak ve bu koşulların devamlılığını sağlamak, besin ve başka mikroorganizmaların gelişmesini engelleyen antimikrobiyal içerikler sağlamak gibi görevler üstlenirler. Bu makale kapsamında entomopatojen nematodlar ve simbiyotik bakterileri ile olan ilişkileri tartışılmış ve bu entomopatojen nematod simbiyont bakteri komplekslerinin tarımsal zararlılarla mücadelede kullanım olanakları tartışılmıştır.
