Application of mathematical model for design of an integrated biodiesel-petroleum diesel blends system for optimal localization of biodiesel production on a Bulgarian scale
Abstract
This paper proposes a mixed
integer linear programming (MILP) model for optimal design and planning of
biodiesel supply chain for Bulgarian case study. Sunflower and rapeseed are
used as raw materials for biodiesel production. The country has been divided
into twenty-seven regions corresponding to its districts. The existing in each
region crops, oil and biodiesel plants and potential ones are represented as
discrete variables in the model. The mathematical model is developed using GAMS
software and represents a complete decision-making tool. The proposed strategy
can be applied for other countries or regions by adjusting the required for the
modeling data
