EFFECTS OF YEARLY TRAINING ON BODY COMPOSITION AND PHYSIOLOGICAL PROPERTIES OF TURKISH NATIONAL FREE-STYLE CADET WRESTLERS
Abstract
The purpose of this studywas to determine body composition and physiological changes of cadet wrestlers in the period of a year. Twelve subjects (mean age 16.09 years) from Turkish National Cadet Wrestlers were participated in this study. Total 22 variables of structural and functional were tested during national team camps between period of May 1989 and May 1990 in Denizli, t-test results showed that changes in subjects' mean resting heart rate, right and left hand grip, 50 m speed and flexibility were found significant at the level of 0.05, Furthermore, increasing of mean percent body fat, body weight and lean body weight were observed. However, those were not found significant.
