THE COMPARISON OF CENTER OF GRAVITY AND BODY COMPOSITION OF TURKISH MALE AND FEMALE JUDO PLAYERS WITH JUDO PLAYERS FROM DIFFERENT COUNTRIES
Abstract
The purpose of this study was to compare of center of gravity and body composition of Turkish male and female judo players with judo player from other countries participated to 5th International Judo Tournament and also to determine the effect of these two parameters on success of judo players.. Totally 59 male and 77 female judo players participated to this study as subject. In this study, measurement table was used to determine center of gravity and body circumference measurement method was used to determine body composition. Statistical analyzes were done by ANOVA and t - test in independent groups. The results of the study indicated that while there were significant differences between turkish judo player and foreign players among center of gravity (p<0.05) but there were significant differences among body composition (p>0.05). In addition, center of gravity and body composition have no effect on success of judo players.
