PREPARING STUDIES ON EDUCATION FOR TRAINING SCHOOLS OF PHYSICAL EDUCATION AND SPORTS TEACHERS DURING THE PERIOD OF DECLARATION OF TURKISH REPUBLIC

Abstract

In this study, preparing studies on education for training schools of physical education and sports teachers during the period of declaration of Turkish Rebublic were investigated. According to the policy of modernization of Atatürk, the reformation of the fisibilitiy of physical education and sports were taken for granted on the other reformations which were being held in all around the country and some courses based on the modernization policy of Atatürk were opened to train the teachers of physical education and sports. For the purpose of training the trainers of future, some students were sent to be trained of advanced level of education sports with the support of the state to the advanced countries like Sweden and Germany. İn Gazi Education Institute Physical Education Department was founded to train teachers of physical education in 1932. In this way, physical, education and sports went, into a rapid program of development and took long distances in a very short time, many Physical Education and Sports Departments and Schools were, founded in different cities of our country other than Gazi Education Institute. TÜRKİYE'DE CUMHURİYET DÖNEMİNDE BEDEN EĞİTİMİ VE SPOR ÖĞRETMENİ YETİŞTİREN OKULLARIN EĞİTİMİNİ HAZIRLAYICI ÇALIŞMALAR

Öz

Bu çalışmada, Türkiye'de Cumhuriyet döneminde beden eğitimi ve spor öğretmeni yetiştiren okulların eğitimini hazırlayıcı çalışmalar incelenmiştir. Türkiye'de beden eğitimi ve spor öğretmeni yetiştirmeye yönelik çalışmaların asıl atılımı, Cumhuriyet'ten sonra yapılmıştır. Atatürk'ün ''Modernleşme'' politikası doğrultusunda, yurt düzeyinde, gerçekleştirilen reformlardan beden eğitimi ve spor da payını almış, modern anlamda beden eğitimi öğretmeni yetiştirmek için kurslar açılmaya başlanmıştır. Bu amaçla sporda ileri giden İsveç ve Almanya gibi ülkelere devlet desteği ile öğrenciler yollanıp, geleceğin eğitici kadrolarını yetiştirme imkânları, sağlanmıştır. Beden eğitimi öğretmeni yetiştirmek amacıyla 1932'de Gazi Eğitim Enstitüsü Beden Eğitimi Şubesi açılmış, böylece Türkiye'de beden eğitimi ve spor çok hızlı bir gelişim sürecine girmiş, çok kısa zamanda büyük mesafeler kat etmiştir. Türkiye'de bir ekol olan Gazi Terbiye Enstitüsü Beden Eğitimi Şubesi/Bölümü/Yüksek Okulundan başka, ülkemizin değişik illerinde de Beden Eğitimi ve Spor Bölümleri/Yüksek Okulları açılmıştır.
