ANTHROPOMETRIC, BODY COMPOSİTİON AND SOME PERFORMANCE VARIABLES OF TURKISH NATIONAL BADMINTON PLAYERS.
Abstract
Tne purpose of this study is to investigate anthropometric, body composition and some performance characteristics of U 19 Turkish national badminton players and to compare them with related literature. 14 National badminton players ( 6 female, 8 male) were voluntarily participated into this study during training camp which was held just before 1997 Balkan Badminton Championships. Antropometric, body composition and some performance characteristics (anaerobic and aerobic power, grip strength, audio and visual reaction time and flexibility) of subjects were measured byusing field and laboratory tests. Statistical analysis were done by using mean, standart deviation and range. According to data were gathered although aerobic power of sübjektif were less, other parameters were found in similarities with related literature.
