Teachıng Hıstory and Textbooks
Abstract
For a successful education ,providing envorinment for students to express themselves and a suitable environment for effective learning are essential. Teachers have the main role in the realization of his situation .But It is not possiblefort he teachers to succeed alone. For an active learning curriculum must be appropriate to the requirements and the condititions of day. Problems about teachers problems in terms of teaching qualification and sufficient staff and the problems arising from textbooks and educational environment must be solved. These issues are fundamental problems of education. At the same time the yare them ostfundamental problems in teachinghistory. Textbooks are very important assistant for the history teachers. Therefore, in this study, the role of textbooks and teaching textbooks, more importantly, the problems arising from textbooks is emphasized. In this study we specify the purpose and content. As a method the descriptive survey was applied. By reviewing literature on the subject ,the findings of the study have been achieved. In the line with these findings, conclusions and recommendations are presented.
