Announcement
Beginning in 2026, The International Journal of Turkish Education Sciences (IJTES) will publish all articles exclusively in English. This policy aims to enhance the journal’s international visibility, broaden its global readership, and strengthen its contribution to the international scholarly community in educational sciences.
The International Journal of Turkish Education Sciences (IJTES), also known as Uluslararası Türk Eğitim Bilimleri Dergisi, is a peer-reviewed, open-access scholarly journal published by Tokat Gaziosmanpaşa University. Established in 2013, IJTES disseminates high-quality empirical and theoretical research in the field of educational sciences. Since 2024, the journal has followed a triannual publication schedule (March, July, and November). As of 2026, IJTES publishes exclusively in English to strengthen its international reach and enhance global accessibility. The journal welcomes original research articles and review papers that advance the interdisciplinary and global understanding of educational sciences. IJTES is governed by an independent editorial board and upholds rigorous standards of scientific quality, transparency, and publication ethics. All published articles receive a DOI and are freely available without subscription fees or article processing charges (APCs). Since 2023, IJTES has operated under the Creative Commons Attribution (CC BY 4.0) license, permitting unrestricted use, distribution, and reproduction provided that appropriate credit is given to the authors. Prior to 2023, the journal offered open access under a traditional, rights-retained licensing model, allowing free access to published articles while maintaining standard copyright restrictions. The transition to CC BY reflects the journal’s commitment to open-science principles and compliance with international open-access standards. To ensure academic integrity, all submissions undergo a similarity check via intihal.net prior to editorial evaluation. The journal utilizes a fully web-based manuscript submission and management system that supports a transparent and rigorous double-blind peer-review process. IJTES adheres to ethical principles consistent with COPE guidelines and complies with national and international research regulations.
