Penile metastasis from rectal cancer: a case report
Abstract
Penile metastasis is extremely rare despite the rich vascularization of the organ. The majority of metastatic lesions originate from adjacent genitourinary and pelvic organs, particularly the bladder, prostate, and rectosigmoid colon (28.6%, 27.9%, and 12.2%, respectively). In addition, penile metastasis from other systemic malignancies has also been reported. Because the number of published cases in the literature is limited, each new case contributes to a better understanding of the diagnosis and management strategies of penile metastases
