AN INVESTIGATION INTO THE ATTITUDES OF ART EDUCATION STUDENTS TOWARDS DIGITALIZATION IN TERMS OF VARIOUS VARIABLES

Abstract

his study aims to examine the relationship between the Digital Citizenship Levels (DCL) and Attitudes Towards Digital Technology (ATDT) of art education students. The research was conducted using the relational survey model, one of the descriptive methods. The study group consists of a total of 322 undergraduate students (191 female, 131 male) studying in the Department of Art Education at various universities. A Personal Information Form, the Attitude Scale Towards Digital Technology (ASTDT), and the Digital Citizenship Scale (DCS) were utilized as data collection tools. For data analysis, t-test, ANOVA, and the Tukey test for post-hoc significant differences were applied based on variables such as gender, grade level, income status, and duration of internet usage (at a significance level of p < .05 and a 95% confidence interval). As a result of the correlation analysis conducted between DCL and ATDT, a moderate significant relationship was found between the two variables (p < .05). The Cronbach’s Alpha coefficient of the scales was calculated as .875, indicating that the dataset possesses a high level of reliability
