The utilization of industrial building systems in the field of commercial architecture presents novel possibilities in the realms of environmental sustainability and structural robustness, in addition to the benefits of speed and cost savings. The purpose of this study is to investigate the seismic performance and climatic sustainability of steel building systems as they are used in retail and commercial unit constructions. The project that was selected for a case study was a steel construction shop block that measured 75 meters by 30 meters. In order to investigate the idea of structural sustainability, the truss system of the project and the IPN profile features were examined. According to the results that were obtained, the utilization of truss systems for spans that are as broad as 30 meters leads to an improvement in the efficiency of the materials that are used as well as an optimization of the performance in the face of seismic activity.
