Abstract

This paper presents Hie results of the orthodontic treatment and a follow up period of three years in a patient with secondary malocclusion due to adult periodontitis.

The oral hygiene instructions were accompanied by scaling, root planing and subgingival curettage. The orthodontic treatment included the application of upper and lower edgewise appliances. For retention, a Hawley appliance on the upper jaw and a dead wire and lingual pads in the lower jaw were used. The results of the orthodontic treament were stabilized for three years of time.

periodontitis! nedeni ile sekon-der maloklüzyon oluşmuş bir hastada ortodontik tedavi ve ortodontik tedaviden üç yıl sonraki sonuçlar sunulmuştur. subgingival küretaj yapılan hastaya, edgewise mekaniği ile ortodontik tedavi yapılmıştır. Pekişme amacı ile üst çenede Hawley plağı, alt çenede lingual pad'ler ve ölü tel'den oluşan retainer uygulanmıştır.
