The cytotoxic effect of p(SweetAlmondOil) and p(JuniperOil) organo-particles on L-929 and Capan-1 cells line

Abstract

Abstract Within the scope of the presented study, p(SAO) and p(JO) organo-particles were synthesized from Sweet almond oil and Juniper oil by redox polymerization method to be used in cancer immunotherapy and their characterization studies were carried out. Then, MTT analysis was performed on L-929 fibroblast and Capan-1 pancreatic cancer cell line via synthesized p(SAO) and p(JO) organo-particles The chemical structure and functional groups of p(SAO) and p(JO) organo-particles were determined by Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy (FT-IR). Organo particle size, zeta potential values and size distribution were determined by the dynamic light scattering (DLS) method using Zetasizer device. The morphological features of the particles were determined by scanning electron microscopy (SEM). Bioactivity properties were determined by antioxidant, antimicrobial and biocompatibility analyses. As a result of MTT analysis on L-929 fibroblast and Capan-1 pancreatic cancer cell line through synthesized p(SAO) and p(JO) organo-particles It was determined that p(SAO) and p(JO) organo-particles increased cell viability in fibroblast cells. The lethal effect of p(JO) on Capan-1 pancreatic cancer cells was found to be close to doxorubicin. Observed that the use of p(JO) together with doxorubicin will lead to better results than the use of doxorubicin alone.
