Stellaria kotschyana (Caryophyllaceae) Taksonomisine Katkılar ve Yeni Bir Sinonim

Öz

Jany Renz tarafından 1951 yılı Temmuz ayında Bitlis-Tatvan arasındaki bozkırlarda, 1700-1900 metreler arasından bazı Stellaria kotschyana örnekleri toplandı. Ancak henüz çiçekli olan bu örnekler olgun kapsül taşımadığı ve kök kısımları bulunmadığı için Renz tarafından tek yıllık olarak kabul edilerek hatalı bir değerlendirme sonucu Lepyrodiclis holosteoides olarak teşhis edilmiştir. Stellaria cinsine ait olmasına karşın, L. holosteoides olarak teşhis edilen bu örnekler (iki dublet) Cenevre Herbaryumunda muhafaza altına alınmıştır. Daha sonra, cins düzeyinde yanlış teşhis edilen bu örnekler sahip oldukları taksonomik karakterler bakımından Lepyrodiclis cinsine benzememelerine rağmen, bu cinse ait oldukları kabul edilerek bilim dünyası için yeni bir tür olarak yayınlanmıştır. Mart 2021 tarhinde basılan bu yeni tür yayında, sadece Renz’in Bitlis’ten topladığı çiçekli örneklerden yararlanılmıştır. Oysaki Türkiye’de yetiştiği için meyveli ve köklü örnekler toplanabilir ve doğru cins teşhisi yapılabilirdi. Söz konusu yayında tanıtılan L. alinihatii’ye ait betimleme ve resimlerinin tamamı S. kotschyana ile birebir aynıdır. Bu çalışmada L. alinihatii olarak yayınlanan türün S. kotschyana’nın sinonimi olduğu; orijinal yayınlar, floralardaki tanımlar, arazi gözlemleri ve herbaryum örnekleri gözden geçirilerek ortaya konmuştur. Ayrıca S. kotschyana’nın taksonomik bazı özellikleri ve yeni yayılış alanları üzerinde de durulmuştur.

Contributions to the Taxonomy of Stellaria kotschyana (Caryophyllaceae) and a New Synonym for This Species

Öz

Some Stellaria kotschyana samples were collected by Jany Renz in July 1951 in the steppes between Bitlis and Tatvan, between 1700-1900 meters. However, these specimens, which are still flowering, do not bear mature capsules and do not have root parts, so they were accepted as annuals by Renz and were identified as Lepyrodiclis holosteoides as a result of an erroneous evaluation. Although belonging to the genus Stellaria, these specimens (two doublets) identified as L. holosteoides were kept in the Geneva Herbarium. Later, although these specimens, which were misdiagnosed at the genus level, did not resemble Lepyrodiclis in terms of their taxonomic characters, they were accepted as belonging to this genus and published as a new species for the scientific world. In this new species publication, published very recently (March 2021), only the flowering specimens Renz collected from Bitlis were used. However, since it was grown in Turkey, fruity and rooted specimens could be collected and the correct genus diagnosis could be made. All of the descriptions and pictures of L. alinihatii introduced in the aforementioned publication are exactly the same as S. kotschyana. The species published as L. alinihatii in this study is a synonym for S. kotschyana; Original publications, descriptions of flora, field observations and herbarium specimens were reviewed. In addition, some taxonomic features and new distribution areas of S. kotschyana were emphasized.
