Lectio Socialis is an open-access, peer-reviewed academic journal that provides a platform for scholars to disseminate their research to a global audience. Published under the editorial leadership of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Emrah Konuralp, the journal upholds high standards of academic integrity through a rigorous double-blind peer review process conducted by experts across various disciplines.
Since its inception, Lectio Socialis has been indexed in the Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ) and has also been included in TR-Dizin as of 2024, further underscoring its academic visibility and credibility.
The journal focuses on policy-relevant topics within the social sciences and related fields, serving as a valuable resource for researchers, policymakers, and students alike. It welcomes both monodisciplinary and interdisciplinary submissions that engage with diverse perspectives, theories, and methodologies to address complex societal issues.
Lectio Socialis publishes a wide range of scholarly articles, including textual, philosophical, social-scientific, and cultural studies. Key thematic areas include political economy, state–society relations, ethnic conflicts, public policy, agenda-setting, multilevel governance, democratization, civil society, social structures and integration, migration, sustainability, ecological issues, science and society, strategic planning, social policy, and women's and gender studies.
The journal’s editorial and advisory boards, as well as its reviewers, consist of distinguished scholars from various national and international institutions. All editorial, review, and production processes are carried out on a voluntary basis, reflecting the contributors' strong commitment to advancing scholarly knowledge.
In line with the open-access philosophy, Lectio Socialis provides free and unrestricted access to all of its content and does not charge authors any fees for submission or publication. This ensures that financial constraints do not hinder the dissemination of high-quality research.
On March 13, 2021, Lectio Socialis signed the San Francisco Declaration on Research Assessment (DORA), affirming its commitment to fair, transparent, and responsible research evaluation practices.
Starting from Volume 5, each article published in Lectio Socialis is assigned a DOI (Digital Object Identifier) under the sponsorship of TÜBİTAK ULAKBİM, increasing the discoverability and citation potential of the journal's content.
In response to the evolving landscape of scholarly communication, the journal transitioned to a digital-only format in July 2022, maintaining only its e-ISSN (2602-2443). Beginning with Volume 9 in 2025, Lectio Socialis will adopt a continuous publication model, whereby accepted articles are published promptly throughout the year, with one compiled issue released each December.
