Journal Title History
2016 – 2023: The journal was established in 2016 under the title Veterinary Journal of Mehmet Akif Ersoy University, with the ISSN 2148-6239. During this period, it published volumes 1 through 8 under this name. ​

2024 – Present: In 2024, the journal underwent a title change to Mediterranean Veterinary Journal. The new e-ISSN assigned to this title is 3023-8447. The first issue under the new title was Volume 9, Issue 1.

Mediterranean Veterinary Journal  (MeditVetJ) is an international open-access journal that publishes original research articles, review articles, sort communications, case reports, and letters to the editor  related all aspects of "Veterinary & Animal Sciences".

• All the article published in the journal are freely accessible under open-access policy.
• No fee is charged under any head i.e. publication charges, processing charges, or handling charges.
• All submitted manuscript undergo a double-blind review process.
• Only invited reviews are accepted. However, independent reviews are considered on case-to-case basis.
• The journal no longer accepts submissions in Turkish language.
