Abstract

Abstract

Sustainable supply chain management receives much attention from both researchers and firms due to containing some aspects such as economic performance, ecological protection, and social issues. In order to improve the sustainability performance of a supply chain, its members should carefully select their suppliers according to their own strategies. Therefore, an effective decision tool is needed to realize sustainable supplier selection within the context of three dimensions of sustainability (economic, environmental and social). This paper proposes an integrated multi-criteria decision tool to evaluate the sustainable performance of suppliers. The proposed model integrates FUCOM and MAIRCA to consider 3 sustainability dimensions, 12 sub-criteria and 5 sustainable suppliers. Moreover, a case study in an automobile spare parts firm is realized to show the applicability of the proposed model. According to the findings, the most crucial sub-criteria in each dimension found to be as price of product, information disclosure, and environmental management system. As a result, the FUCOM-MAIRCA model can be applied to evaluate and select proper suppliers in sustainable supply chain management. Additionally, it has the potential to be applied in other business fields such as marketing, management, and finance.
