This research is a case study review with a qualitative approach, where data is obtained from the process of literature review and interviews with viewers and connoisseurs of wayang performance to see how the catharsis picture and emotional connection between propaganda, hate speech and hoax news that exist today, as well as public trust after watching the performance with the value of human dynamics. The results of the literature review and interviews retrieved that wayang performance can be one of the catharsis as well as a valuable source of knowledge about how humans, with all their dynamics, understand and respond to the conditions of propaganda, hate speech, and hoax news that exist today and emphasize mutual trust between each other because it is one way to build public trust considering Indonesia has the value of a communal society. The findings conclude that wayang is one of the nation's heritages that contains the value of human dynamics and can be a catharsis for the audience and connoisseurs, as well as a trigger for public awareness and reawareness that the importance of building trust between people with various backgrounds is the key to reducing the impact of propaganda, hate speech and hoax news.
