Med J SDU is a fully open access, online/print journal that follows independent, unbiased, and double-blind peer-review principles. In particular, it aims to promote locally produced works that are above a certain standard of quality in the international arena.

Med J SDU publishes research in basic, internal and surgical medicine, including original clinical and experimental studies, reviews of current topics, case reports, editorial comments, and letters to the editor. From 6 April 2026 onwards, our journal will only accept articles from the fields of basic, internal and surgical medicine, or studies conducted in collaboration with these fields. We will no longer accept articles from other health-related fields. Articles submitted before this date will be reviewed. The language of the journal is English.
