Herpetik Keratit Tedavisinde Trifluorothymidine ve Acyclovir Etkilerinin Karşılaştırılması

Özet
Atatürk Üniversitesi Tıp Fakültesi Araştırma ve Uygulama Hastanesi Göz Kliniği'nde 1987-90 yılları arasında herpetik keratit teşhisi ile takip ve tedavi edilen 27 hastanın 31 gözü çalışma kapsamına alındı. Onbeş vakadan oluşan I. gruba trifluorothymidine, 16 vakadan oluşan II. gruba acyclovir tedavisi uygulandı. Trifluorothymidin ile ortalama iyileşme süresi 5.66±3.08 gün; acyclovir ile ortalama iyileşme süresi 5.56±2.06 gün olarak bulundu. İki grup arasında istatistiksel olarak anlamlı bîr fark yoktu.

Abstract
Comparison of Therapeutic Effects of Trifluorothymidine and Acyclovir in Herpetic Keratitis
Thirtyone eyes of 27 patients which are diagnosed as herpetic keratitis and treated at the Ophthalmology Department of Atatürk University Medical School between May 1987 and May 1990 are included in this study. Trifluorothymidine therapy was applied in thefırst group which includes 15 casesand acyclovir was applied in the second group which includes 16 cases. The mean healing time was 5.66±3.08 days with trifluorothymidine andS.56±2.06 days with acyclovir. No statistically significant difference wasfound between two groups in our study.
