Total hip arthroplasty practices in coxarthrosis cases(mid-term results)

Objectives: The aim of this study is to analyse the midterm results of patients diagnosed with coxarthrosis who had also undergo surgery for total hip artroplasty. Material and Method: Uncemented total hip arthroplasty was performed on 34 hips of 30 patients diagnosed with coxarthrosis and treated with uncemented total hip prosthesis in orthopaedics and traumatology clinic between 2005-2008. Of these 30 patients, 20 were female and 10 were male and the average age was 59.4; youngest being 32 and oldest 79. Average followup period was 37.5 months. 12 cases were operated on right hip and 14 cases were operated on left hip; 4 patients had operation of both of the hips. Results: All of the patients are evaluated with Harris Hip Score. Average preoperative Harris score of the patients was 39.2 and average postoperative score was 94.06. According to these findings, results were perfect in 24 patients, good in 5 patients and moderate in 1 patient. Conclusion: Compared to the findings in literature, our mid-term clinical and radiological results were determined as successful.

KOKSARTROZ OLGULARINDA TOTAL KALÇA ARTROPLASTİSİ UYGULAMALARIMIZ (ORTA DÖNEM SONUÇLARI)

Bu çalışma ile koksartroz tanısı nedeni ile total kalça protezi endikasyonu konulan hastalara uygulanan total kalça artroplastisi ameliyatlarının orta dönem sonuçları araştırılmıştır.
Kliniğimizde 2005-2008 yılları arasında koksartroz tanısı konulan ve çimentosuz total kalça protezi uygulanarak tedavisi yapılan 30 hastanın 34 kalçasına çimentosuz total kalça artroplastisi uygulanmıştır. 20'si kadın 10'nu erkek hastadan oluşan grubumuzun ortalama takip süresi 37.5 aydır. Hastalarımızın ortalama yaşı 59.4 olup, en genç hasta 32 ve en yaşlı hasta ise 79 yaşındaydı.
Hastalarımızın 12 tanesi sağ kalçasından, 14 tanesi ise sol kalçasından opere edildi. 4 hasta ise her iki kalçasından opere edildi.
Hastalar Harris Kalça Değerlendirme Skoru ile değerlendirilmiştir. Hastaların ameliyat öncesi Harris skoru 39.2 iken, ameliyat sonrasında Harris skoru 94.06 olarak bulunmuştur. Bu sonuçlara göre 24 hastada mükemmel sonuç, 5 hastada iyi sonuç ve 1 hastada orta sonuç elde edilmiştir. Literatür bilgileri ile karşılaştırıldığında uyguladığımız çimentosuz total kalça protezlerinin orta dönem klinik ve radyolojik sonuçlarının başarılı olduğu bulunmuştur.
