SÜRMÜŞ ODONTOMA: ÜÇ VAKA RAPORU VE LİTERATÜR DERLEMESİ

Öz

Abstract
The eruption of an odontoma is extremely rare. It may be associated with some complications such as pain, inflammation of the adjacent soft tissues and delayed eruption of permanent teeth. In this study, we presented three erupted odontoma cases and a review of the literature in this regard. All our cases were male aged 21, 23, and 80 years old. Two patients had symptoms such as swelling, purulent flow, and pain, while one was asymptomatic. In the literature research, we found 66 published papers that describe 74 cases between 1989-2020. Dentists should pay attention to erupted odontoma because of serious complications.

Odontomanın sürmesi oldukça nadirdir. Ağrı, çevredeki yumuşak dokuların iltihaplanması ve kalıcı dişlerin gecikmiş sürmesi gibi bazı komplikasyonlarla ilişkili olabilir. Bu çalışmada, sürmüş üç odontoma vakası ve bu konudaki literatürün gözden geçirilmesi sunulmuştur. Olgularımızın tamamı 21, 23 ve 80 yaşında erkeklerdi. İki hastada şişlik, pürülan akıntı ve ağrı gibi semptomlar varken, biri asemptomatikti. Literatür araştırmasında, 1989-2020 yılları arasında 74 vakayı anlatan 66 yayınlanmış makale bulduk. Diş hekimleri, ciddi komplikasyonlar nedeniyle sürmüş odontomaya dikkat etmelidir.
