Role of Zinc Deficiency in Allergic Diseases
Abstract
Zinc is an essential for the organism, is the second most abundant trace element in the body. It is critical for the structural and functional integrity of cells. Many pathologies may occur in severe zinc deficiency including growth retardation, hypogonadism, skin diseases, impaired taste and smell, immune system disorders, neuronal and sensorial disorders. Nowadays zinc deficiency is widely recognized as a problem all over the world. In this review, zinc deficiency is explained to the serious effects on human health and the relation with allergic diseases.
