Sakarya Medical Journal is a peer-reviewed scientific journal that aims to reach all national and international medical institutions and personnel, publishing retrospective, prospective or experimental research, review, case report, editorial comment/discussion, letter to the editor and current issues that determine the medical agenda, which may be related to every branch of medicine. The Sakarya Medical Journal is indexed in TR Index, Google Scholar, Turkey Citation Index, Turkish Medline Index and JournalTOCs indexes. All manuscripts are subject to double-blind peer review. For this reason, the main text file to be sent to the referees should not include the names of any authors or institutions. All manuscripts must be original, scientific, not previously published in another medium or sent to another journal for publication. All manuscripts must be checked for plagiarism, and ethics committee approval must be obtained for studies using humans and animals. The journal is published four times a year in March, June, September and December. The official publication languages of the journal are Turkish and English. English writing is preferred. Turkish articles should have an English abstract, and English articles should have a Turkish abstract. Research articles are prioritized, and limited number of articles with sufficient priority are accepted for case presentation.
All kinds of transactions and applications related to the journal can be made at https://dergipark.org.tr/smj. Application methods other than the Dergipark system are not accepted. NOTE: Please read the spelling rules before uploading your works. Studies completed before December 2010 will not be accepted.
While the submitted manuscripts are checked by our journal in terms of scientific, ethical and plagiarism, the authors are also obliged to upload the documents pertaining to their responsibilities in terms of ethics and plagiarism. Plagiarism policy: All articles are checked on the intihal.net system. Manuscripts with plagiarism rates above 30% will not be evaluated. 30% or less are evaluated in terms of quality by the journal editor.
Open Access policy: All articles are open and free of charge through the Dergipark system. No fee is charged from the authors.
