Abstract

Elma, yüzyıllar boyunca söylencelerde, sıklıkla görülen meyvelerden biri olma özelliğini taşımaktadır. Bu hikâyeler de elmanın aşk, güzellik,
bilgelik, günah, cinsellik, bereket, cazibe, tamamlanma, bütünlük gibi kavramlarla ilişkilendirildiği anlaşılmaktadır. Elma, çok eski tarihlerden
beri yetiştirilen bir meyve, bilinen bir tattır. Kaynaklar, elma yetiştiriciliğinin Firavun II. Ramses zamanında bile bilindiğini, eski Yunanlılar
ve Romalılar tarafından ise üretiminin yaygınlaştırıldığını belirtmektedir. Elma Türkler tarafından da erken çağlardan beri tanınmaktadır. Türk
masalları “Gökten üç elma düştü, biri bana, biri sana biri de dinleyene…” diye sona erer ayrıca bir çocuk dünyaya geldiğinde, evlilikte, ölümde,
ömrü uzatmada, çeşitli hastalıkların tedavisinde, türkülerimizde v.s. yer almaktadır.

Abstract

Apple, over the centuries in myth, often carries the distinction of being one of the fruits are common. It is understood that the apple is associated with these concepts which are love, beauty, wisdom, sin, sexuality, fertility, attraction, integrity in these stories. Apple, a fruit grown since the ancient history and is a familiar taste. Some sources have been defined that Apple cultivation is known since the time of Pharaoh II. Ramses and its production is extended by the ancient Greeks and Romans. Apple is well known by the Turks since early times. Turkish tales come to an end with this sentences “Three apples fell from the sky, one to me, one to you and other listener...” In addition apple is used as a symbole in birth, in marriage, in death, in the life extension, in the treatment of various diseases, in folksongs etc
