Plant Logistics when compared to Inbound and Outbound
Logistics is a less studied subject open to improvement. It is aimed to
construct such a plant logistics structure in a lean manufacturing environment
that enables less handling costs, increasing value added time and having an
easily manageable and standardized material handling system. With this aim, semi-finished
goods distribution in the factory is considered as a Vehicle Routing Problem
(VRP). Distribution routes to be completed by the distribution operator in a
minimum time using the Clarke and Wright Algorithm and the Capacity Limited Vehicle
Routing Problem mathematical model, which are one of the VRP solution methods.
The results were compared with the current situation and the best result was
the Clarke and Wright algorithm.
