Internet of Things (IoT) technology, various
communication protocols, Internet connection, can be defined as an intelligent
network system of electronic devices that share data recently. Especially
industrial organizations use IoT technology to increase production and
efficiency, to make profit in terms of time and cost, to realize customer
satisfaction and to improve decision making. Recently, the use of IoT
technology, which has become widespread in many sectors and integrated into the
system, in higher education and the positive and negative effects that may
occur are discussed. Positively, it is thought that IoT will provide solutions
to physical location, economic, geographical and educational language problems
that may hamper education and training in higher education. As a negative, it
is thought that mechanization will bring about security weaknesses as in other
sectors. In this study, the aims of the use of IoT technology in higher
education and the developed applications have been examined. Subsequently,
discussions were conducted on the findings of the investigations and various
scenarios with recommendations were presented.
