Öz

The aim of this study is to determine the relationship between their perceived organizational support level and personal traits (gender, age, tenure, marital status, school type and staff). The sample of the study consists of 136 high school teachers working in Derince, Kocaeli in 2013 – 2014 education year. The study was designed as survey model. Descriptive statistical methods (frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation), independent sample t-tests and analysis of variance were used to analyze the data. In the results of the research, the mean scores of teachers’ showed that most of high school teachers have a moderate level of organizational support while some of them have a high level of organizational support. Research results show a significant difference according to gender variable and it was understood that female high school teachers perceived more organizational support at work than male high school teachers. While organizational support perception of the teachers in high schools don’t show any statically significant difference with regard to tenure, marital status, school type and staffing, it shows a positive relationship through high school teachers’ age

ORTAÖĞRETİM ÖĞRETMENLERİNİN ALGILADIKLARI ÖRGÜTSEL DESTEĞİN BİREYSEL ÖZELLİKLERİNE GÖRE İNCELENMESİ

Öz

Bu araştırmanın amacı ortaöğretim öğretmenlerin algıladıkları örgütsel destek ile bireysel özellikleri arasındaki ilişkiyi (cinsiyet, yaş, medeni durum, çalıştığı okul türü, çalıştığı kadro, öğretmenlikteki hizmet süresi ve şu anda çalıştığı okuldaki hizmet süresi) incelemektir. Araştırmanın örneklemini Kocaeli ili Derince ilçesinde 2013 – 2014 Eğitim Öğretim yılında görev yapmakta olan ortaöğretim öğretmenleri oluşturmaktadır. Araştırma tarama modelinde olup, verilerin analizinde betimleyici istatistiksel çözümlemeler (frekans ve yüzde değerleri, aritmetik ortalama ve standart sapma), bağımsız gruplar t testi ve tek yönlü varyans analizi kullanılmıştır. Araştırma sonucunda ortaöğretim öğretmenlerinin büyük çoğunluğu orta düzeyde, bir kısmı ise yüksek düzeyde örgütsel destek algıladıklarını ifade etmişlerdir. Araştırma sonuçları cinsiyet değişkenine göre kadınların lehine anlamlı bir farklılık göstermektedir. Araştırmaya katılan ortaöğretim öğretmenlerinin algıladıkları örgütsel destek ile kıdem, medeni durum, okul türü ve çalışmakta olduğu okuldaki hizmet süresi arasında anlamlı bir farklılık görülmezken, yaş değişkeni ile pozitif yönlü bir ilişki bulunmuştur.
