UYKU APNE SENDROMU VE ENDOKRİNOLOJİ Sleep Apne Syndrome and Endocrinology

Abstract

ÖZET
Obstrüktif uyku apne sendromu (OUAS), uyku esnasında solunum durması sonucu oluşan
yaygın görülen bir hastalıktır. Uykuda oluşan solunum bozuklukları neticesinde vücutta çeşitli
metabolik değişiklikler de meydana gelmektedir. Ayrıca bazı metabolik bozukluklar da uykuda
solunum bozukluğu oluşumunu kolaylaştırmaktadır. Bu sebeple OUAS ile endokrinolojik, kardiyovasküler
ve pulmoner bazı hastalıklar zaman zaman birliktelik göstermektedir.

ABSTRACT
Obstructive sleep apnea syndrome (OSAS) is a common disease that occurs as a result of
respiratory pause during sleep. As a result of sleep related breathing disorders, various
metabolic changes occur in the body. In addition; some metabolic disorders also facilitate
sleep disordered breathing. For this reason, endocrinological, cardiovascular and pulmonary
diseases occasionally coexist with OSAS.
