Abstract

Since the 1990s, with the
increase of the international entrepreneurship activities, some firms have
become internationalized in a way earlier and faster rather than the
traditional ways of internationalization. Small and medium sized enterprises
that internationalize from their inception or very shortly thereafter are
called “Born Global” in the literature. The role of the international
entrepreneurship orientation that born globals have in facilitating faster
international activities compared to the traditional ways of
internationalization is great. International entrepreneurship orientation is analyzed
by its three dimensions, namely, proactivity, risk taking and innovation. The
innovation dimension of international entrepreneurship in the study is examined
at the point of born global. In the study, born global firms in different
sectors in Ankara, Çorum and Konya have been analyzed using qualitative
research methods. QSR NVivo 11 program is utilized in data analysis. In
conclusion, four factors that influence the dimension of innovation in the
entrepreneurial orientation of born global firms are revealed and explained
based on the data obtained. These factors are information creation and sharing,
entrepreneurship, information and communication technologies, and human
resources.

ULUSLARARASI GİRİŞİMCİLİK YÖNELİMİNİN YENİLİKÇİLİK BOYUTU: KÜRESEL DOĞAN İŞLETMELER ÜZERİNE NİTEL BİR ÇALIŞMA

Year 2019, Volume: 37 Issue: 4, 721 - 745, 31.12.2019
