1. Introduction

It is a national refereed journal published every 6 months (twice a year) by the International Journal of Science, Engineering and Design. The journal aims to announce international scientific studies in the field of Science, Engineering and Design to scientists, experts and the public.

The main text should be written on A4 paper size with 2 cm margins and 12 point Times New Roman font with 1.5 line spacing and justified on both sides. The main section titles should be numbered, the first letters of the words should be capitalized and written in bold characters. After the main section title, one line space with 1.5 line spacing should be left and the text should be passed. One line space should be left between the title and the superscript. Paragraphs should start 1 cm inside. No spaces should be left between paragraphs.

In this section, sufficient literature review about the study should be given, the aims of the study and its place in the literature should be emphasized. Detailed literature review and summary of results should be avoided.

2. Material and Method

In this section, the materials and methods used in the study should be explained in detail and clearly.

2.1. Subtitle

Main headings can contain subheadings.

2.2. Shapes, Tables and Equations

Figures can be graphics, diagrams, photographs, pictures, maps. Figure caption should be written at the bottom of the figure. Both the figure and the figure text should be centered on the page. Figures must be legible. There should be 1 line space between the figure and the superscript. There should be 1 line space between the figure caption and the subtext. Figure text should be written in 11 points. Figure texts should be referenced.

Tables can be preferred with open frames. Table caption should be written above the table. Both the table and the table caption should be aligned to the left of the page. There should be 1 line space between the table text and the superscript. There should be 1 line space between the table and the subtext. Table texts should preferably be written in 11 or 10 points and single line spacing should be chosen. Table texts should be referenced.

When there is a need to add equations, the equations should be numbered, starting with 1, respectively. The equation is written starting from the paragraph. The equation number should be placed on the right edge. EquationOne line space is left between the text and the top and bottom. Equations should not be in image format. Word equation editor is preferable.

3. Findings and Discussion

In this section, the findings obtained as a result of the study should be given. Comparisons can be made by making literature studies on the findings obtained.

4. Conclusions and Recommendations

In this section, the results obtained from the study should be given. Suggestions and comments can be made for readers.

Thanks

Ethics Committee Approval

TR Index Journal Evaluation Criteria has been updated for 2020.
An "Ethics Committee Approval" document is also required for studies that require ethics committee approval within current criteria. Therefore;

1. “For research in all branches of science, including the social sciences, and for clinical and experimental studies on humans and animals that require an ethics committee decision.
Ethics committee approval should be obtained separately, this approval should be stated and documented in the article.

2. “In studies requiring ethics committee permission, information about the permission (name of the committee, date and number) should be included in the method section and also on the first/last page of the article. In case reports, it is necessary to include information on the signing of the informed consent/consent form in the article.

In the statement made by TR index, the studies in the following category were determined as articles that require Ethics Committee approval:

Ø All kinds of research conducted with qualitative or quantitative approaches that require data collection from the participants by using survey, interview, focus group work, observation, experiment, interview techniques.
Ø The use of humans and animals (including material/data) for experimental or other scientific purposes,
Ø Clinical studies on humans,
Ø Research on animals,
Ø Retrospective studies in accordance with the law on the protection of personal data,

Moreover;

Ø Indicating that an “informed consent form” has been received in case reports,
Ø Obtaining and specifying permission from the owners for the use of scales, questionnaires, photographs belonging to others,
Ø It should be stated that copyright regulations are complied with for the intellectual and artistic works used.

With this;

Journals should state that they comply with the rules on "Publication Ethics", "Research Ethics" and "Receiving Legal/Special Permission" by referring to international standards, by opening a separate heading for each one, both on the web page and in the printed journal.

The issue of compliance with publication ethics in journals should not be left to the sole responsibility of the authors, the path to be followed in journal publication ethics should be clearly defined.

In articles to be published in journals, whether ethics committee permission and/or legal/special permission is required should be stated in the article.

If it is necessary to obtain these permissions, it should be clearly presented from which institution, on what date and with what decision or issue number.

If the study requires the use of human and animal subjects, it should be declared that the study was carried out in accordance with the international declaration, guideline, etc.

ETHICS COMMITTEE PERMISSION

Dear authors and referees,

In line with the decisions taken by the ULAKBİM TR Index, for the researches carried out in all branches of science, including Social Sciences, since 2020 "

Ethics Committee Approval" must be obtained. For studies that require ethics committee permission, information about the permission (name of the committee, date and number) should be included in the method section and also at the end of the article. When uploading your study to our journal, you must also upload your Ethics Committee document along with your article file. If you are not in the working group that requires board permission, you must sign the declaration form stating this situation and indicate the relevant situation in your article text.

Is ethics committee approval required for all articles?
No. Studies that require ethics committee approval are as follows:

Use of humans and animals (including material/data) for experimental or other scientific purposes,
Clinical studies on humans,
Animal studies,
Retrospective studies in accordance with the personal data protection law

Moreover;

Should a retrospective Ethics Committee Permission be obtained for publications produced from studies and thesis completed in previous years?

Retrospective ethics committee approval is not required for articles that were published before 2020, produced from postgraduate/doctoral studies (must be specified in the article), submitted an application for publication to the journal in the previous year, and accepted but not yet published.

Are there any restrictions on publications made outside universities with these rules of TR Directory?
No. Non-university researchers can also apply to the Ethics Committees in their regions.

Authors regarding the articles within this scope to be sent to the Academic Language and Literature Journal must both upload the permission documents they have received to the system during their application and specify them in their articles. This information should be given at the end of the article before the bibliography as follows:
