Investigation Of The Effect Of Education In Pregnancy On The Focus Of Fetal Health Control

Year 2016, Volume: 13 Issue: 1, 12 - 17, 01.01.2016

Abstract

Aim: The research was conducted to investigate the effect of pregnant women education on the fetal health locus of control in the antenatal period.Material and Methods: It is a semi-experimental study which is based on pretest-posttest control group. Totally 20 pregnant women was included in this study. The research data was collected by using DataCollection Form and Unborn Baby Health Locus of Control Scale AKBSDO . The pregnant education was given training in 6 weeks to pregnant in the experimental group. Pregnant women in the control group were subjected to routine hospital practice. Before and after the training, the experimental group and the control group of pregnant women’s mean scores of AKBSDO were compared. Results: It was found that the pregnant women’s mean scores of AKBSDO taken before the intervention were similar and statistically not significant p>0.05 . After the intervention, the mean scores of Internal Health Locus of Control Scale, one of the groups of AKBSDO, were 43.90 in the control group and 50.20 in the experimental group. According to this, the difference between the groups were statistically significant p 0.05 .Conclusion: Education given by health personnel during the antenatal period in the study, the individual’s internal locus of control is effective in changing health positively.

Antenatal Dönemde Verilen Gebe Eğitiminin Fetal Sağlık Kontrol Odağına Etkisinin İncelenmesi

Year 2016, Volume: 13 Issue: 1, 12 - 17, 01.01.2016
