Türkiye’de Eğitim Araştırmalarında Kullanılan Faktör Analizi Tekniğinin İncelenmesi

Year 2014, Volume: 2 Issue: 2, 158 - 167, 30.12.2014

Abstract

Evaluation of Factor Analysis Method Used in Turkish Education Researches

Year 2014, Volume: 2 Issue: 2, 158 - 167, 30.12.2014

Abstract

Factor analysis is case-specific, complex process. Besides, statistical software packages have many options regarding the analysis. Researchers experience and attainment have a critical role in choosing appropriate options in the software. Consequently, factor analysis technique could be applied in different ways and researchers may receive inaccurate results. In a broad manner, this issue is a universal problem in the field of social research. Purpose of this study is to investigate the criterions in the factor analysis process in addition how these criterions taken into account and how these criterions are reported in Turkish educational researches. For this purpose, 218 articles were analyzed by document analysis. Results indicate that; lots of criterions are ignored by researchers
